Celebrity ships often dock at the Pan American Pier across the bay at Isla Grande, which is not walkable — take a taxi to Old San Juan (about 10–15 minutes) and ask for Calle Recinto Sur. If your ship is at one of the Old San Juan piers (Piers 1, 3 and 4), about a 5-minute walk from our carts, just walk over.
In our own log of ship calls from August 2023 to December 2025, the Celebrity Cruises ships we saw most were Celebrity Summit, Apex, Ascent and Reflection, arriving either early (around 6:00 AM) or late afternoon (3:30–4:00 PM).
On a late-afternoon arrival, check the afternoon times when you book — the old city looks its best in the late light.
