Plan your port day

A few hours ashore. Spend them seeing, not climbing.

  1. Get off the ship. Many ships dock at the Old San Juan piers (Piers 1, 3 and 4), right at the edge of the old city. If yours is at the Pan American Pier across the bay, take a 10–15 minute taxi to Old San Juan instead.
  2. Walk about 5 minutes to 315 Calle Recinto Sur and look for the carts with the Scene Hopper sign.
  3. Ride for an hour. Photo stops at Castillo San Cristóbal, El Morro and the cathedral; we roll past La Fortaleza and the painted streets.
  4. Spend the rest of your day — lunch on Calle Fortaleza, shopping on Calle San Francisco, or back aboard to cool off.

Cruise questions

Before you step ashore.

(787) 956-5575
How far is it from the cruise ship?
We meet at 315 Calle Recinto Sur, about a 5-minute walk from the Old San Juan cruise piers. If your ship docks at the Pan American Pier across the bay, it is not walkable — take a taxi to Old San Juan (about 10–15 minutes) and ask for Calle Recinto Sur. Use the walking-directions button on this page.
What time should I book?
Give yourself time to get off the ship and walk over — most cruise guests book a slot an hour or more after their ship's arrival, and finish at least two hours before all-aboard. Call us if your schedule is tight; we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
What if my ship is late?
Call us as soon as you know at (787) 956-5575. We will do our best to move you to a later slot that day.
Is this a ship excursion?
No. You book directly with us, not through the ship. You are responsible for getting back on board on time — the ride is one hour and the piers are a short walk away.
How much is it?
$85 per rider, plus taxes and fees (about $100 all in).

What are you waiting for?

Your ship leaves this afternoon. Don’t let the deck be your best view of San Juan.
